Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013: Atelier Versace

Atelier Versace opened the Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2013. If someone did not know that Gianni Versace died tragically fifteen years ago, they would exclaim, “Gianni never changed himself”. His sister Donatella Versace managed to create a collection, where every glitter, every feather, every overflow fabric reminded of how her elder brother imagined glamour. There is no doubt he would have approved of the 24-karat gold, which Donatella used as decoration in her collection, in particular the epaulette elegant pantsuits presented by veteran model, gray-haired Kristen McMenamy. Neon yellow and pink may not look very modern these days, but  for Versace these are the colors. Among all that reminiscance of the 1980s there’s something to admire: tight pants with stripes, paired with a vest, white stripes of mink fur dress. shirt with a plunging neckline and their shining applications deserve the rave ratings.
