Amy Winehouse makes a UK Sales Record

She made a real impact on the music industry throughout her short-lived career, and it appears that the late Amy Winehouse has accomplished a posthumous sales milestone.

The “You Know I’m No Good” songstress’ 2007 Grammy-winning album Back to Black is the highest-selling album in the UK for the 21st century.

Winehouse’s striking passing away last month resulted in a huge rise in sales, with Back to Black rocketing to the #1 position on the UK album chart.

And planned for this weekend, Tony Bennett is going to offer a tribute to Ms. Winehouse on the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
